The year 2008 brought many changes and exciting events to the Mattke family.
Alex and Noah graduated from 1st grade in June and moved up to the 2nd grade in Spetember. They have become skilled readers and enjoy learning about math, science and reading many books.
Over the summer, they participated in enrichment activities at their elementary school to get ready for 2nd grade.
Alex participated in flag football and Noah started learning tennis over the summer. They both took soccer lessons and continuted to learn tennis in the Fall.
Mike continues to be a top achieving engineer at his company and is on track to surpass last year's accomplishments.
Paige graduated from her Masters of Science in Instructional Technology at Lehigh University in May. She will be starting her coursework for her doctoral program in Learning Sciences and Technology at Lehigh in January. She continues to work as a graduate assistant in the College of Education doing research on the open eductaional resource offerings of public history sites and science museums.
The biggest change to the Mattke household was the arrival of Hawkin Somerville Brideson Mattke on July 6, 2009 at 4:44 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. After an uneventful pregnancy and a challenging delivery, whe made her dramatic debut. She is a healthy and very happy baby, who smiles at everyone and is working hard to keep up with her big brothers. |
